Mama Clementina Foundation
Mama Clementina was an Italian nun who emigrated to Tanzania in the early 1900s. Along with the Consolata Sisters, they opened an orphanage in Iringa, where they loved and educated hundreds of girls. Maria Kasindi Goerlitz Kamm, better known as Mama Kamm, was one of these girls. She followed in the footsteps of her beloved Mama Clementina, and opened an all-girls boarding school in Moshi, TANZANIA. At TrueToTanzania, we applaud these young women, and we aid in their development. Lodging with TrueToTanzania is made possible through the very work of these girls. We are happy to set up mission safaris for our clients in support of Mama Clementina Foundation.
